Jim's Basical Tutor Class
A downloadable game
This page will not receive any STORY related info until the game is at a playable state. Keep an eye on it to see what there will be to offer!
Already Implemented Features
- Unique Menu Types
- Custom Lighting System
- Controller Mapping
- Visual Effect Shaders
- Directional Captions
Custom NPC AI- This could potentially end up being a scrapped feature, despite having working NPC movement in the game. My current implementation doesn't account for proper obstacle avoidance, so to save time on adding NPCs, I'll be switching over to NavMeshAgents.
- Wacky Level Geometry
- A few examples of this are 45 degree angled walls, realistic support beams, octagon hallway connectors... The list can go on and on as the game is developed! Once I figure out what goes where, I model it and add it in!
- Day Night Cycle
Planned Features
- Cutscenes & Comics
- Unlockables
- Horror elements
- NPCs (Currently, there are no actual functional NPCs in the game. But these are planned to be added very soon!!!)
- Some characters will be borrowed from things like Baldi's Basics Map Pack, as these are my own characters, from there, I'll be improving their functionality so that they'll be more fun to mess around with in-game.
- Suspension and EXPULSION
Dynamic Physics System- This is going into the backburner because basketballs (as the first example of this system, are proving really difficult and time consuming to implement), it may or may not come in the form of Basketballs. I still plan to implement wind zones and entities that can interact with these wind zones. So if I can't get Basketballs into the demo, you may get a taste of those features first.
- Tons of QoL Improvements
- Seamless Portals
- CLOCKS
- Weather Cycle
- Custom Save System
And more to come as the game is developed!
When do you plan to release the demo?
Well, that really depends on how much progress is made this year, if I can get alot done by the end of the year, see the release of the demo by Version 0.5, I'm not going to be versioning my game like Baldi's Basics Plus though, anything past Version 0.9XXXX will automatically be Version 1.0. Hopefully by the Version 0.5 mark I've got a few characters in the game that are unique enough, and hopefully the game feels just right!
As for any playtesting build, these will come at around Version 0.3, it should still have more than enough content to take in, but not the entire pie! Only a slice... or maybe a few slices if you will.
Remember though, any version before Version 1.0 of JBTC should NOT include the Expulsion and Suspension system I talked about earlier. (Unless its a playtest build of course)

Playtesting and Feedback
Playtesters will be shown once the game releases, I don't want to announce their names publicly.
I created almost every asset used in the game so far, I probably won't release demos of the game mind you. Eventually I intend to release this here, on GameJolt, and maybe in the future, Steam. All for free of course. Obviously with the whole steam page debacle, I do have to pay a fee to get it on the store. I need to ensure that the game maintains good enough quality to get approved too.
Please note, that if I actually give something a game page. I'm more likely to work on it than to just let it rot.
Any playtesting to the game will be done by people I chose, and those are typically people that I trust. Won't leak any assets, won't steal anything, etc. So any playtester for this game, should not be a modder. Sorry.
