Progress Update #2


Jim's Tutor Class Progress Update

Hey people!

It's been quite a bit since the last progress update on Jim's Tutor Class, I've only made a pinch of progress over that time too. About a month or so ago, I uploaded a video on my Youtube Channel, showing off the new navigation system I've been working on for the game. It's almost stable enough to use, but very clearly needs work since it tends to break sometimes!

That tiny bit of progress is something I think you've all seen, but just in case you haven't seen it yet, here's the video!

Additional Notes:

  • In my previous post, I noticed that I said I didn't have controller support implemented, however as of making this post, that has since been changed, using a controller is more than possible now!
  • The stamina meter's design is more finalized, and so is the functionality
  • The lookback function has been added, but now the camera flips in real time instead of immediately flipping the camera upon pressing the look back button.
    • This was done so that it differs from what other Baldi's fangames do.
  • Finally, I've done more mesh creating, and added more textures to the game. As well as actually adding somewhat functional AI.
    • I plan to create a handful of objects to place around the school map.

One more thing, I noticed that the school map in Jim was built very poorly, so what I plan to do once I resume development, is completely remake the map out of tile meshes instead of Quads. That should make it easier for me to make the map.


...But that's not all I wanna talk about though!

Baldi's Jar Animation Progress Update

I've got some great news surrounding the Baldi's Mystery Jar Remaster I've been working on! It's been about 2 weeks in the making and it's already looking amazing! My original plan was to work on this for about a month, and we're approaching July rather quickly, so... My goal is to release this on July 10th! I'd love to show off my editor window right now, but I feel as if that'll potentially spoil some of the things I've got in store.


This animation, is going to be the longest on my channel thus far. So much additional planning went into making this! If anything goes wrong, and I can't release the animation on July 10th, it'll be roughly a week delay. I'll let y'all know if I need to polish anything before I ship this out. I've noticed a continuity error in the script I wrote earlier this year, I've since then caught it, and fixed it accordingly. One more thing to note is that I might potentially release a trailer for this animation, but that's subject to change as I'm currently iffy on that decision. So I'll let you all know if I change my mind in the coming days ahead! And while this progress update for Jim is super small, I wanted to share the rest of this info with you all, so farewell!
