V0.2.4 has just released with more improvements and small additions. Check it out here!
- Added in a Save system which is used to store names into a JSON file, to be loaded into the Name Entry Scene
- This is a big change, which means you no longer have the set "Placehold" name.
- Currently I don't have a system in place for when a save gets removed, HOWEVER, with the Reset button being in place. If you created a file, and deleted it, you cannot play the game until you reset and create a new file. I took extra precautions :P
- Removed the Forwarding screen and its music.
- Removed the Forest Music and replaced it with an ambient track the 2D version of the field trip will use.
- Removed 2 people from the credits poster slideshow
- One submitted a stolen poster
- One requested to be removed
- Added in a quit screen for when you quit the game.
- This is a thing that differs from what BB+ does, which is just fade to a black screen, I wanted to make it look like he was waving goodbye to you.
- Improved the Overall Screen Transition effect, which now makes it look like Baldi's Basics Plus.
- Originally, the small pixel transition effect occurred due to a large transition texture, which was initially 1280 x 720, so I basically took that and divided it in half and made it 640 x 360. This is because Baldi's Basics (the plus version and classic remastered) has screens that have resolutions of 480 x 360, so it seems more logical to make it widescreen for all resolutions.
- Fixed the appearance of the "Items" in the forest field trip.
- Originally they had a broken appearance, the halos on the items wouldn't work properly when compiling the game, so I opted to using a texture atlas for the halos, the one I created for the previous update but never got around to using.
- The post title screen music now loops instead of cutting off
Oh and did you hear that? I'm making 2D versions of field trips now! Which should help decrease filesize.
I recently teased about this on multiple YouTube community tab posts, and quite frankly I'm super obsessed, and would love to get started on making these field trips. Of course I'm not gonna directly copy from Baldi's Basics Plus, I plan to alter the functions of the Camping, and Farming Trip (well if this one doesn't work, I can always just copy the plus version but with using original code, that doesn't sound too good.... haha!), and Forest Trip. I also showed off a waste water trip, but that was just concept art for fun, don't take it seriously.
But the concept of the 2D forest trip (which is coming to a future update) looks like this, for those who haven't seen.
This is only a small slice of new content, I'm going to include new characters as well :P
A new character that may come in V0.3.X (Any OTHER version after the main V0.3)
I'm not looking for name suggestions for him, so don't give me any.
And that's basically all I have to reveal.

I Can Not Hear The Music
The midi files only work in 64-bit builds of the game. There's no reason why you can't hear the music. Please send a video detailing what happened. I haven't added in a music volume setting, but I have added in a volume setting which indeed has a tendency to set itself to 0 sometimes. However, this only affects sounds that are NOT midi files.
So this isn't a bug everyone has, you're like the only person who is telling me this. And that's not a good thing.
OK
this looks awesome
