Oh! Hi! I'm a day late on posting this devlog. I apologize for that by the way, now I've fixed the major issues with gamemodes and exit gates, and I tweaked Mrs. Pomp some more in this update. But there are no visual changes so I won't show any sort of screenshots but I will tell you all what has changed in the past week.
I started building the 3rd challenge map and I'm almost 3 quarters of the way finished however I stopped working on that map to fix more important things about the game, this mean I actually went bug hunting and found tremendous bugs and they were all the same bugs don't worry.
Changelog V1.83
- You can no longer open exit gates again after spoopmode has begun
- This applies to endless mode
- You can no longer change the default mode to endless
- this bug existed in V1.8 but it was patched later after the mode select was re-added
- The Lights-Off event has been temporarily removed
- This event now deactivates lightsources however they cause lag and frame drops
- Mrs. Pomp's fast stomp sound no longer cuts audio
- Mrs. Pomp's fast animation has been nerfed as it doesn't represent the constant speed she has when chasing the player
- Mrs. Pomp will now revert to her slow hop if you proceed to move out of her sight quickly.
- The light sources in the field trip hub have been updated.
Menu Related Changes
- The settings menu has been re-organized
- Most of the screens such as the Story, Settings, and Controls screen now have the fake 480 x 360 resolution.
- Fixed the Menu Buttons from overlapping click boxes
- Removed the sound adjust sound
- this will be replaced with a more suitible audio sound in the future
- added a 3rd challenge button
- note that the challenge name is not what the buttons says, and also note that you can't physically be sent to the challenge yet.
- Changed the about text
- Changed the Warning text (please consider reading that)
And that's all, it seems like a big update but it's not at all that by any means! The biggest update that will include 2 custom challenge maps, the 6th level, and the 3rd challenge map will come 2 weeks prior to this devlog. I will throughly test out the levels before I even release a stable build. Have a good 4th of July. Sure are alot of fireworks booming.
